Weeks 41 & 42 – Louisiana and Texas

Hi friends.

It’s been an eventful two weeks through the rest of Louisiana and a bunch of Texas. We drove across the longest bridge over water in the world, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, visited with an old friend of Travis’s outside of Houston, celebrated a 30th birthday with one of my friends in Austin, drove through Texas wine country, and ended up exploring Big Bend National Park.

Places to Check Out
BlueFin Sushi Bar & Ramen, Austin – They had rolls they lit on fire! It was cool to see, plus absolutely delicious.

Zilker Botanical Garden, Austin – This was beautiful and fun to walk around, even in the winter time. I would love to go back during spring or fall.

Radio Coffee & Beer, Austin – Such a chill place to listen to live music, have coffee, tea or beer and just relax.

Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ, Austin – This place was so, so good. We got a family meal to split between four people and we still had leftovers for two days!

Big Bend National Park – Definitely head go to the Fossil Exhibit to learn about dinosaurs and then head over to the Santa Elena Canyon Trail.
